Jimmy Sharp Scores His Only Goal For Fulham
Trainer Jimmy Sharp scored his only goal for Fulham in the last of his 125 games for the Club. When centre-forward Harold Crockford missed the bus for an away game at Bury in April 1920, 40-year-old Sharp had to play. He scored the first goal in a 2-2 draw and was the oldest player to have played for Fulham in the league until overtaken by Mark Schwarzer.
