During this season Fulham played their 2000th league game and their 1000th home match against Aston Villa on November 12th 1966.

It was a season where Fulham scored an impressive 71 goals, the 5th highest in the division, even though they finished in only 18th place. George Cohen played his 400th game for the club, a significant achievement in a season that followed his World Cup winning performances for England that summer.

This was a magnificent accomplishment from one of our greatest ever players. Jimmy Conway made his debut during the season, but it also saw the final games in a Fulham shirt for Graham Leggatt and Bobby Robson.
