Although the final points total was high on a respectable 52 points, the 1993/94 campaign saw Fulham relegated from Division Two. A win on the final day would have seen the team safe, but a 2-1 defeat at Swansea City meant Fulham finished a point below 20th placed Blackpool who stayed in Division Two. It was at this game; the loyal Fulham fans were prevented from storming the pitch to commiserate with the players on the relegation. There was a changing of the guard that season, too, with Sean Farrell and Jeff Eckhardt departing the Club, while the likes of Terry Angus and Robbie Herrera – who would play key roles in SW6 a few years later – made their debuts.
